About Us

Nestled atop the foothills overlooking Silicon Valley is Ma’alot Farms, a 16-acre family homestead on the aboriginal homeland of Tamien Nation and Muwekma Ohlone.

Ma’alot Farms is currently home to the Ohriner family and their herd of goats, flocks of chickens, quails, turkeys, ducks, and their fearless, amazing livestock guardian dogs.

The Ohriners are deeply committed to improving food access by sharing local, regenerative, climate-adapted, heirloom fruit, vegetables, and nuts grown at Ma’alot Farms.

Our Purpose

Ma’alot Farms envisions a world repaired by cultivating and elevating a commitment to ecological sustainability, regenerative agriculture, and local food access.

What We Do

Ma’alot Farms fulfills its purpose through direct food donation in partnership with community organizations, as well as through hands-on exploration workshops in sustainable living, resilient food production, self-sufficiency skills, and earth-based Judaism.
